Melanie Chapman is Of Counsel with Cardinale Fayard and practices in the firm's Medical Defense Law Group. Melanie is an experienced civil litigation attorney, with over 20 years of experience. Her practice focuses on medical malpractice defense and the defense of legal and other professionals in federal and state courts as well as administrative tribunals in Nevada. She also has extensive experience advising insurance companies regarding insurance coverage matters. Prior to joining Cardinale Fayard, Melanie was general counsel for Nevada's State Board of Dental Examiners and practiced medical malpractice and civil defense with two Las Vegas law firms. Melanie is also licensed in Florida, where she practiced from 2003 through 2014. She is also proud to provide general counsel services for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing access to medical and behavioral health services to underserved residents in Nevada.

Melanie grew up in Las Vegas and is proud to call Nevada her home. She graduated with honors from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC in 1997, where she participated in Moot Court, earning top brief awards and serving on the Moot Court Board. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in 1994, graduating cum laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
